Out of the mouth of my 5yo son...

Today I was trying to take a lil' nap and trying to convince my 5yo to do so too, He didn't want to. He goes out to the fridge and comes back in the room eating something. When I asked what he had he said "some yummy cotton cheese. " Okay so I was wondering what is cotton cheese and when I look in the bowl he had COTTAGE CHEESE !
Now how cute is that?

Dillon learned to ride his bike with no training wheels yesterday on Mother's day!! Today he decided he was ready for the big hill after one day. This is what happened ....bad boo boos on his face, chin, both arms,hands. (and he is still smiling,go figure huh?)

Hillbilly Breakfast

This is so easy to make, and you can add whatever you want, and clean up is easy.

INGREDIENTS:
1 bag shredded hash brown
6 eggs
1 lb sausage or ham, cooked
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups shredded sharp cheese
seasoning salt and pepper
red, yellow, or green peppers, optional

PREPARATION:
Take an aluminum foil cooking bag sprayed with pam, sprinkle with seasoning salt and put some pats of butter in the foil bag. Open a bag of hash browns, beat eggs, chop onions, pour all ingedients into the bag of hash browns, and mix by squeezing. Then pour the mixture into the foil cooking bag and spread out. Add some salt and pepper, more seasoning salt, and a bit more butter on top of the hash brown mixture. Place the aluminum cooking bag on a preheated grill (medium heat) and turn the bag every five minutes. The bag will start to puff and you can open it to check for doneness.

Preparation time: 30 minutes

How sweet...They both fell asleep in the recliner, this is the only time that they are perfect angels!!!

Just a thought I had as I was hanging the clothes on the line to dry yesterday...

You know your Lil' boys are getting to be big boys when it no longer takes only one clothes pin to hang thier lil' bluejeans!

Grocery shopping drive you crazy with the kids...

I know when I take my kids to the grocery store, I want to tear my hair out before we leave there. Here is some fun things to do top take the stress away....

Hunt a letter

As you move down the isles, have your pre-readers find a cereal box with a big O on the front of the box. Ask him/her to find a jar of pickles with an L on the label. As your child aquires reading skills, you can start to look for words , such as new, hot, or fresh....

Catch a color

Ask your child to find yellow banannas, the green can of soup, the blue box of soap. Once you have went through all the colors, then go to sizes: What is the smallest bag of rice, biggest pack of lunch meat, skinniest box of spagetti? You can also explore shapes, textures( softness, bumpiness), and amount ( many boxes, a few cucumbers)
